Life Greetings all. After graduating from Moody HS, Corpus Christi, TX (Sparkling City By The Sea) I went on to attend Texas Southmost Jr. College on a full scholarship to play baseball, of course. I did very well the first season earning a trip to the Texas Junior College All-Star Game and play for the South. I was also drafted by the Chicago White Sox...but didn't sign. It was still too early. I went on to play at McNeese State University on another full scholarship. I continued to pitch until I strained my arm and had to hang up the cleats. I decided to enlist in the US Air Force and have been doing that ever since. My arm healed just fine and after Basic Training in SA, TX I was stationed at Hill AFB, UT. I played baseball there for a season or two playing competitive ball against the local Colleges and Universities. I then had been reassigned to Yokota AB, Japan and continued to play baseball with a local team for the next 3 years. After my tour in Japan, I was stationed in San Antonio, TX and moved on to play softball instead. I played fastpitch for a while and made the All-Star team. Not bad! We played against the King and His Court and lost...not surprising. Over the years I have enjoyed many different pastimes including volleyball and golf. I really enjoy playing golf. My last overseas tour was at Incirlik, AB Repulic of Turkey. My golf game really improved since I could play all the time. I was finally able to bring my average score to the upper 70s and lower 80s consistantly. Now stationed at Ft. Lewis Army Installation (remember I'm in the AF) I continue to play softball and coach youth baseball and adult ...Expand for more
